U Live was the flagship program on TVNZ U, airing live every day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. It featured a mix of music, interviews, and general interest segments. Viewers could engage through Facebook, voting in psychic readings, joining discussions, and watching the show on a commercial- and graphic-free live stream. Comments and psychic readings were then displayed live. The show was hosted by Connor Nestor, Matthew Gibb, Kirsteen Mackenzie, Eli Matthewson, and Monika Barton. U Live was often compared to Mediaworks' youth-focused program FOUR Live, which aired on the FOUR network.
